Welcome to the Neighborhood

The City of Strathmoor Village, established in 1928, is a home rule city comprised of approximately 300 households centrally located in the upper Highlands bounded by Bardstown Road and Taylorsville Road. Strathmoor Village is self-governed through its election of a Mayor and four Commissioners.

Strathmoor Village is a quiet neighborhood in an ideal area of Louisville. The tree-lined streets, extensive sidewalk system, and welcoming atmosphere offer residents an enjoyable walk through the neighborhood.

Strathmoor Village taxes cover costs for garbage collection, fire, police protection, street lights, islands, roads, sidewalks, signs and community events. Each homeowner also pays taxes to Jefferson County.
